“But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13b-14
I spent a while trying to figure what to say in this post. I’ve never been big on New Year’s resolutions or remembering everything I did the past year. New Year’s usually just feels like a normal day.
But we split our time into years for a reason. For one thing, it gives us a chance to take a breath and to kiss the past goodbye. If you’re still holding on to guilt and regret, now is the time to let go. God has already forgiven you for every time you messed up this year.
So tomorrow, keep your eyes focused straight ahead, and don’t look back.
